FAQs.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, all sessions at Clove are virtual.
What can I expect during my first session?
The first session will look a little different depending on whether you're a therapy or coaching client.
For therapy clients, our initial meeting will focus on gathering key information about your history, current challenges, and any previous therapy or diagnoses. We'll also complete a proprietary, integrative assessment to get a full picture of your needs.
For coaching clients, we’ll dive into where you are in your life right now, the visions you're working to bring to life, and the obstacles in your way. Together, we'll assess if your current projects align with those visions and set clear, long-term goals.
How long are the sessions, and how often will we meet?
All sessions at Clove are 50 minutes long. For therapy clients, we recommend starting with weekly sessions for the first four weeks to build our therapeutic relationship and create momentum. After that, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs.
For coaching clients, you can choose the session frequency that best supports your goals and growth.
Do you take insurance or offer sliding scale options?
Insurance companies require providers to assign a mental health diagnosis after the first session, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. Many insurers also only cover specific types of therapy, like CBT. To offer the best possible care and stay aligned with our values, Clove has chosen not to accept insurance.
We understand that not everyone has the same financial resources. If the work we do at Clove resonates with you but our current fees are out of reach, please don't hesitate to contact us. We offer a sliding scale, with the understanding that those receiving reduced rates must commit to weekly sessions.
What therapy modalities do you use?
At Clove, we’re dedicated to integrative, holistic therapies that nurture the whole person—not just the part that lives in your head. Our approach draws from a rich blend of practices, including expressive arts and creative therapies, narrative therapy to help you shift your personal stories, parts work, mindfulness, and somatic work, including ecosomatics.
What are your population specializations?
At Clove, we excel in working with those identifying as any of the following: sensitive or highly sensitive, intuitive, psychic, witch, empath, creative, artist, healer, healing arts professional, loner, introvert, dreamer, visionary, shapeshifter, or if you fall under the Myers-Briggs types INFP or INFJ, or Human Design Projectors and Reflectors.
But you don’t need to identify with any of these labels to reach out. If you feel drawn to Clove, there’s a reason. We’re here for you.

How do I know if therapy or coaching is right for me?
If you’re finding it hard to cope emotionally with symptoms of anxiety—such as dread, worry, feeling on edge, being unable to relax, or experiencing constant tension—depression—hopelessness, persistent sadness, lack of motivation, or self-isolation—or if you have a history of trauma, including abuse, neglect, or assault, we recommend our therapy services.
On the other hand, if you’re struggling to bring your creative projects or goals to life but can generally manage disappointment without experiencing prolonged feelings of depression or anxiety, our coaching services may be a better fit for you.
Is there anything or anyone you don’t treat?
Due to safety concerns, Clove may not be the right fit if you are struggling with active suicidal ideation, if you have been recently hospitalized for audio/visual hallucinations, or have a history of violence.
We love our unique speciality and skillset. However, if you’re seeking primary or focused support for executive functioning and/or organizational issues related to ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, we may not be the right fit. If you identify with either of those experiences but are seeking primary support to work on sensitivities (such as rejection sensitivity or sensory sensitivities), please reach out.
We do not see children at Clove. We may see teenagers aged 16+ on a case-by-case basis.
What kinds of couples do you work with?
We work with couples in all stages of connection and we see married as well as unmarried couples, including same-sex couples and/or queer couples.
We do not work with couples who are in active domestic violence situations.
What’s the cancellation/rescheduling policy?
If you need to cancel your session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a $100 cancellation fee. We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we allow one no-show every 90 days without penalty. However, if you miss three sessions within a 60-day period, we may reach out for a conversation to determine whether Clove is the right fit for your needs.
We are deeply committed to our work here and want to ensure we have the bandwidth to support those who are ready to transform.
